Echinococcosis

Abstract:

The aim is Finnish and international cooperation in research into the ecology, epidemiology and diagnostics of ‘Echinococcus multilocularisand other Echinococcus species and genotypes. One of the purposes of the project is to obtain additional insights into the sources of echinococcus infection in humans.

Aims:

The principal aim of the project is to improve food safety and animal welfare by studying the occurrence, epidemiology and diagnostics of echinococcus tapeworms.
